Scarecrows
Fall Scarecrows Boy and Girl
I painted a glass jar (Mason Jar) and then glued rafia to the lid (Lids on these are not removable but if you were careful they could be). Eyes and nose are made from felt. The mouth and stitch lines are done with a marker.
Scarecrow and Pumpkins
Everything here is from Dollar Tree. The crate was in the DT Plus aisle. It had pumpkins and the sign here. It also has leaves carved out for handles. I used the ribbon to cover them up. I glued in a couple blocks of styrofoam. and added the scarecrow. Then just kept gluing in pumpkins and added some fake greens
Scarecrow Floral
Everything here is from Dollar Tree except the pine cones. Pine cones are not only great for Christmas arrangements but can be easily worked into your fall floral arrangements too.

Scarecrow Faces
I usually struggle with the face of a scarecrow. I'm not a good painter, I don't have a steady hand for the details. So I have come up with alternatives.

Stickers
One of the advantages of stickers is they usually have a clear background, so you don't have to cut around the individual features or paint your project the same color as the image. They are also the easiest, just peel and stick.

Scarecrow Shelf Sitter
This was done on a DT metal mason jar shelf sitter. Hat is popsicle sticks and face is a sticker.
This would be a great project for a kid's group or even a senior center. Stickers make it really easy and inexpensive.
Scarecrow Jar
This was done on a spaghetti jar. Paint, burlap, ribbon, sticker. Done
For the hat I just rolled a piece of burlap into a cone, so the bottom opening was bigger then the jar. Rolled the bottom up and glued the pointy part down.
These stickers are clear, quick and easy

Make Your Own Stickers
The problem with pre-made stickers is you can't adjust the size. however to make your own you are going to need a Cricut or a cutting machine.

Light Up Scarecrow
I used the Cricut for the face on this. One advantage of the Cricut over the stickers is you can resize them. I stretched this one out because I wanted a wider face.
This one was done with a Dollar Tree fish bowl. I filled with raffia and fairy lights. The hat is a pool noodle I covered in felt and cut a circle for the brim. The base is a wine glass I painted black.

Fall Floral
Fall Floral Arrangements work for all occasions
Deeper colors, (oranges, reds and purples) will give you a richer color pallette
Adding yellow will give you a brighter, cheery look
Add some purple to make the other colors pop
Something like this can easily be made for under $10 with Dollar Tree Supplies. Grab a metal container and a block of styrofoam. Pick 3 types of orange and yellow flowers. Any kind, if you stick with yellow and orange they are going to go together. Pick different sizes. (Here the sunflowers and orange mums are larger, the yellow roses are smaller) 1 stem of each. Then add a stem of something "pokey" i.e wheat, cattails, add a stem of silk leaves and I used ribbon to help fill in. Glue styrofoam into container. Cut the flowers apart leaving the stems as long as possible. Most stems have 5 flowers each. Start with your larger flowers and insert them in a round or cone shape. Try to separate them but if there are 2 of the same kind together that's ok. (Sunflowers in pic) Add all the orange and yellow flowers, then add the pokey flowers. Fill in with the leaves (I usually cut not only the individual stems but usually cut those stems in 1/2 too. They get poked into the arrangement so the stems can be shorter) and finally add ribbon.
Skip the orange and red entirely
With the right fillers blue can be fall
Dollar Tree Milk Can Makeover
I painted it with white chalk paint, decoupaged the cow and use antique wax to age it.

Decoupage a tin can for an imexpensive container. This is an instance where you're going to want a thinner paper. You can get away with using regular copy paper on a lot of crafts when the surfaces are smooth and you want an opaque look. In order for the paper to adhere to the ribs on the can it needs to be thinner. One ply of a napkin, rice paper or for these I taped a piece of tissue paper to cardstock and printed it on the tissue paper.

Remove the bottom of the can and crush it to make a cute wall hanging.
I Love these styrofoam mushrooms from Dollar Tree. They are really cute to add to your fall arrangements
Add ribbon to your container to upscale an inexpensive container and bring in more color
This was a Dollar Tree textured metal vase that I painted white and aged it with Antique Wax, It gives it a kind of Baroque look that goes well with the fall colors
Use a plate or tray as a base and add candles
Pumpkins, pine cones, sunflowers, plum colored mums and cattails arranged in a gold Dollar Tree tray. Flower position doesn't have to be the same on both sides
I use mostly Dollar Tree silk flowers. They've stepped up the quality but there isn't a lot of stem to make a taller arrangement. You can tape a wire or stick to every stem or you can tier your arrangement and use the shorter stem flowers for a taller display.
Use a pumpkin as your vase.
This is a Dollar Tree styrofoam pumpkin. I painted it to tone down the orange. Add flowers at various depths to add dimension to your arrangement. The jute running through the arrangement also adds depth AND it was used to cover the seam in the pumpkin.
Or a pumpkin mug (or any other mug)
Succulents' are a cute fall arrangement

Fall Gardening With Gnome
For this I started with the Dollar Tree Toilet Plunger Broom. (Plunger covered with jute) I glued it to a DT round wooden disk I had stained brown. This is my base. From there you can just add a gnome sign, pumpkins, gourds, clay pots with flowers, whatever you like.
How I Made The Broom
I did it in 2 layers. Shorter lengths I attached lower to help cover the plunger. I took my string and wrapped it around a piece of cardboard like 10 times and cut both sides, So I was working with 10 strands at a time. Glued on those 2 sections and wrapped again. Repeating until I went all the way around. Not totally covering the plunger cause there is another layer. Then made longer strands using the same process and gluing them farther up the handle and leaving some jute above the glue line so I could wrap it with jute to finish it off and some will show. How many pieces of jute you need will depends on how thick your jute is and how full you want your broom. I started with a roll of jute and there was lots leftover. (A Real Tutorial is on the To-Do List)
Gnome Mesh Wreath
An easy way to make a mesh wreath is using Dollar Tree loofas and a pool noodle. I used a blue pool noodle for the picture but used a white one for the actual project. Both will work but the white has less chance of showing through this lighter mesh.. Cut the white rope holding the loofa together and unravel. The mesh for the loofa is cylinder shaped and slides right over a pool noodle. 6 loofas will fill in a pool noodle nicely. I used dowels, glue and duct tape to hold the ends of the pool noodle together. I added Dollar Tree ribbon, flowers and pumpkins. But you can add whatever you'd like. This method is a whole lot easier then messing around with mesh that unravels and pipe cleaners.
Apples
Apple Centerpiece
Everything here is from Dollar Tree.
Apple Guy Shelf Sitter
I basically added gnome parts to a fake apple. Instructions for hat, arms and boots are on the Sock Gnome Page. Glasses came from Amazon.

Add apples to a small Dollar Tree crate
Fake Caramel Apple
Drizzle apple with hot glue, paint caramel color and add Gloss Mod Podge. I added Corn Cob Bedding, it's perfect to use as nuts for your fake bakes
Apple Themed Basket
Cider bottles and wire basket are from Dollar Tree. The caramel apple is fake. Shhh don't tell the gnome,he's been trying so hard to steal it. Let him be surprised.

Pears and Peaches
Pear Centerpiece
I Love adding fruit to floral arrangements, especially the pears. Everyone does apples for fall and the poor pears are often overlooked. Even the barrel is DT, it's just plastic but it's cute.
This muted blue color works well with the pears if you want an alternative to the typical fall colors

Fall Crafts
Decorate Mason Jars with paint, twine, burlap, whatever you have to make a one of a kind vase
Leaf Candle Holder
I decoupaged leaves unto a jar and covered with crystal glitter sprinkles. I added some twine around the top of the jar.
Another non-craft craft ... You may need a scissors to cut the jute. Add popcorn kernels to a Dollar Tree Glass Vase, add a candle and some jute. If you want to be fancier you can use ribbon instead of jute... AND if you want to be really fancy (and show me up) you could put the candle in there straight !!!
Always Do Your Best. What you plant now, you will harvest later.
Everything here is from Dollar Tree
I'm not sure this actually qualifies as a craft, no pattern, no glue gun, no scissors ... I found this Pumpkin Tiered Tray at Dollar Tree Plus. $5 .. You can't even make a tiered tray for $5. I just filled it with DT items I got and left them like I bought them. Eventually they will be a part of other crafts but for now it's cute storage.
Paint a DT wine glass with black chalk paint and Flat Mod Podge. I added material inside the glass to hold the candle. Add Bow
FREE SVG Files
I used a glass bubble bowl and the tubular rope from DT (Jute would work too) and wrapped it over the glass. I only secured it at the top under the stem and bottom of the bowl. If you add glue along the length of the rope, the glue will show from the inside of the glass. If you want it more secure run another piece of rope around the brim of the glass
