Cute Turkey
The body was made from a Dollar Tree styrofoam pumpkin I painted tan and then added Antique Wax. The "feathers" are silk leaves I glued to a DT wooden plaque that was shaped like leaves. The head and neck is a wooden spoon. Styrofoam balls for eyes and felt for the rest of his face.

You will need 2 canvas'. One needs to be a stretched canvas the one that is stretched around a wooden frame. The second of the same size is flat.

Thanksgiving Centerpiece
Sign, Pumpkins and Flowers all came from Dollar Tree.

Small Gnomes are made from RX Bottles. There is a step by step tutorial on the Gnomes Page for them
Pumpkins are the bright orange pumpkins you find at Dollar Tree. (Emphasis on BRIGHT!) I toned them down with a darker orange paint, dry brushed them with some brown paint in the crevices and covered them with Mod Podge

Rather then have everyone go around the table and tell WHAT they are thankful for, let EVERYONE feel loved and appreciated.
I am Thankful…for YOU ! - Have each person at the table tell something that they think is great about each of the others. If you have a really large group, have them just say something great about the person on their left.
Preserve the Memories
This one goes on throughout the party.
These days everyone has a cell phone with a camera. Give everyone a list of things/people to take pictures of. Examples: Someone eating, someone laughing, the dog, someone playing a game, someone watching TV, their favorite dish, their plate. At the end of the party download all the pics and give all who participated a small token. Make a disc of ALL the pics and give them out at Christmas.
Thankful Tree
Print out the PDF File on fall colored stock paper and cut out. Everyday have everyone write on them what they are thankful for or give everyone their own color and have them make several.
Guess How Many Candies in the Jar
Have your guests guess how many candies are in the jar. The winner gets to keep the jar.
